Give us a button to close out closed matches – why do we care anyway?

We all get closed out for one reason or another. My EH account is filled with women who have closed me out and I really don’t care why they did so. Why can’t EH provide a tab to close out all those who have closed us out all in one shot? I could spend a long time sifting through my closed matches, opening each one up, closing it out..etc… too much time doing this. With having to wait for all the adverts that EH puts on the page, and even with a T1 connection, it can take hours. It would be nice to have one button to close and move everyone who closed me  to the closed folder all in one shot.

And if you're just wondering "Why can’t EH provide a tab...", the reason could be simply exactly what you said: "...all the adverts that EH puts on the page..." ;) …

Suggestion: Tell new registrants you search for matches daily

Dear eHarmony:

Here’s an idea. In some instances, you do not have any initial matches to give your new registrants. Or just two matches. That’s fine and dandy because you know you can find more the next day or the next few days… but the new registrant doesn’t know this. When a registrant finishes your exhausting questionnaire, this is what he or she sees. Continue Reading »

ROTFLMAO. I've been a member three years with 2000+ matches and I STILL think those three things when you extend it to non-communicative matches, the ones that close me out and the few that will communicate that aren't all that interesting. …

Feature Request: “Close” link on photos page

The “Close” link just about everywhere else except on the photos page.  Of course, we know why.  eHarmony wants us to think about the person as a whole.  However, physical attraction is a strong part of the decision process and generally, you need to look at the other photos posted instead of just the primary as part of that decision.

Why not make the simple change to the site code to include a close link on that page.  If they aren’t convinced it is worth placing there, track how often that link is used versus the “main” one.  I think they would find that more people would close from the photo page and by not having it there, the user interface is actually not user friendly and a hinderance for users.

So, how about it, eHarmony?  Can you spare fifteen minutes of payroll time and task a programmer to make this change?

A better alternative to the rejection message

Our present matching system has limitations and your questionnaire results show that you are someone that our system will have a tough time finding a quality match. We’re very sorry about this, and, please, don’t let this mean that there’s not someone out there for you.

Feature request: Australia Toll Free number

Australians have it tough.

Since eHarmony Australia began in December 2007, Australians have had to dial overseas to speak to eHarmony Customer Care. Calling the United States from Australia costs $0.10 to $0.14 AUD per minute.

Meanwhile, a $59.95 AUD membership costs $84 USD, based on the average exchange rate in the last twelve months. A one-year membership costs Australians $95 USD more than what Americans pay. What they pay more for, I don’t know.

eHarmony needs to set up an Australian toll free number. They deserve it.

I do not have credit cards, so I set up paypal & that's working fine. I have been told that it is because I don't have a land line. I was then given some work around - but they didn't work either This is really pretty poor Mr eHarmony when you wont even take guys money …

Four cool corporate blogs the official eHarmony Blog can be inspired from

Nuts About Southwest (Southwest Airlines) is about customers, staff, airplanes and airports. Expect funny, heartwarming and very informal articles about the lives of SW customers, the personal lives of SW staff, fun things they do in the office and tech advancements in aviation. Occasionally the blog gets serious and interviews their executives about topics such as a recent acquisition, how their systems work, why someone should work in SW, and so forth.

What’s the Diff (Quicken Loans) spends a great deal of time linking and featuring corporate clients who are doing cool stuff, the blog always has interesting and very personal articles each holiday, their take on Detroit news and cool things happening in Detroit. It’d be a great day if an eHarmony VP makes a video like this one, setting the record straight on online customer complaints.
