Chemistry.com wins Commercial Closet Association advertising award

The Commercial Closet Association, a non-profit advocating the advertising industry to foster understanding and inclusion of LGBT people, gave Chemistry.com the “Outstanding Interactive Ad” award last Monday 29 July 2008. Here’s the winning ad.

Chemistry.com: No Issues Here

The press release says,

Outstanding Interactive Ad (Appearing in GLBT Media): Chemistry.com/Agency: Hanft Raboy & Partners. One of the Web-based ads shows same-sex couples (male and female) kissing, stamped with the logo “NO ISSUES HERE,” alluding to competitor eHarmony’s policy of not allowing homosexual members.

CCA’s advocacy falls on deaf ears with eHarmony because CEO has said they will not serve gays and “that’s it.”
