When eHarmony Blog answered the questionnaire four years ago, prices were higher and the 12-month subscription had a free book offer. Of course there were less members and less matches. The following is eHarmony’s current pricing and renewal pricing, plus any ongoing promotions that we have heard about. (eHarmony Blog is not affiliated with eHarmony in any way.) Please contact us if you have any information that’s not here.

Subscribing to eHarmony requires that you (or, more specifically, your email address) passed the questionnaire.

Current subscription rates

eHarmony operates three country sites, and the best deal is in the currency with the least monetary value. 2007 Forex trends show that it is NOT eHarmony Australia.

For eHarmony US, these are the current subscription rates, in US dollars.

• 1 month for USD$59.95
• 3 months for USD$119.85 (amounting to USD$39.95 a month).3 months for USD$134.85 (amounting to USD$44.95 a month).
• 6 months for USD$179.70 (amounting to USD$29.95 a month).6 months for USD$203.70 (amounting to USD$33.95 a month).
• 12 months for USD$239.40 (amounting to USD$19.95 a month).12 months for USD$275.40 (amounting to USD$22.95 a month).
• 12 months for 3 payments of USD$79.80 (amounting to USD$19.95 a month).12 months for 3 payments of USD$91.80 (amounting to USD$22.95 a month).

By the way, the rates have increased slightly since August 2002, which says:

• 1 Month Membership – USD $49.95
• 3 Month Membership – USD $99.95
• 6 Month Membership – USD $159.95
• 12 Month Membership – USD $249.95 Special Offer! (Regularly $299.95)

This was the price until at least March 2005. The 12 Month Membership had a “Relationship Starter Package” (FAQ #73) consisting of two of Warren’s books.

For eHarmony.ca, the following are the current subscription rates, in Canadian dollars. Note: since the Canadian dollar has less monetary value than the US dollar, register in eHarmony.ca if you can. Note: since the US dollar has less value than the Canadian dollar, register in .com when you can. See this post for the trick.:

• 1 month for CAD$59.95
• 3 months for CAD$119.85 (amounting to CAD$39.95 a month).
• 6 months for CAD$179.70 (amounting to CAD$29.95 a month).
• 12 months for CAD$239.40 (amounting to CAD$19.95 a month).
• 12 months for 3 payments of CAD$79.80 (amounting to CAD$19.95 a month).

eHarmony.ca is not a Canadian company, because nothing in their site says they charge Canadian residents Goods and Services Tax (GST).

For eHarmony Australia, the following are the current subscription rates, in Australian dollars. Note: since the US dollar has less value than the Australian dollar, register in eHarmony US when you can:

• 1 month for AUD$59.95
• 3 months for AUD$119.85 (amounting to AUD$39.95 a month).
• 6 months for AUD$179.70 (amounting to AUD$29.95 a month).
• 12 months for AUD$239.40 (amounting to AUD$19.95 a month).
• 12 months for 3 payments of AUD$79.80 (amounting to AUD$19.95 a month).

For eHarmony UK, these are the current subscription rates, in British pounds. Note: since the US dollar has much less value than the British pound, register in eHarmony US when you can:

• 1 months for £34.95.
• 3 months for £74.85 (amounting to £24.95 a month).
• 6 months for £89.70 (amounting to £14.95 a month).
• 12 months for £139.80 (amounting to £11.65 a month).

Renewal rates

The following are the current renewal rates. Renewal price is ONLY available to auto-renewing accounts. If you deselect the auto renew feature and your account expires, you will not be eligible for this discount price when purchasing another subscription.

• 1 month initial subscriber: Another month for $49.95 per month (USD, CAD or AUD)
• 3 months initial subscriber: Another 3 months for $32.32 per month (USD, CAD or AUD), or $96.95 (USD, CAD or AUD)
• 6 months initial subscriber: Another 6 months for $23.49 per month (USD, CAD or AUD), or $140.95 (USD, CAD or AUD)
• 12 months initial subscriber: Another month for $19.95 per month (USD, CAD or AUD)

Be aware of eHarmony affiliates

If you researched eHarmony or looked up “eharmony reviews” days or weeks before taking the test or paying your subscription, you may unknowingly be giving some website a commission for “referring” you to eHarmony. To be sure you are not, we encourage you to delete all eharmony cookies before signing up and before paying. Some of these tracking cookies stay in your browser for 45 days — if you subscribe within this time period, the “eharmony review” site gets 20% commission (or sometimes $60).

On the other hand, if you operate a website that publishes content, you can also do the Amway thing and buy from your own store by becoming an eHarmony affiliate site and getting commission for your own sale. Then, maybe, use a discount code!!

Current promotions

Here are the current promotions. (NOTE: We at eHarmony Blog earn nothing from the use of these codes. We merely copied this from spam messages sent by eHarmony.)

• eHarmony runs a “3 months for $59.85 (amounting to $19.95 a month) for first-time subscribers” promotion every three weeks. Registrants who pay right away will not receive the “Exclusive offer” email with the promo code or the link for this discount.

As you can see, since October, eH is running the “3-for-1 promo” during the last week of the month (around the 24th) until the first week of the following month (around the 10th). eHarmony emails this “exclusive limited-time offer” to all of its registrants. What fun!

All over the web are discount codes for saving even more. We want to list them here, but we’re afraid they may have tracking information that earns another website commissions.

• $10 off a month purchase (amounting to $49.95 a month).
• $20 off a 3-month purchase (amounting to $30.28 a month).
• $30 off a 6-month purchase (amounting to $23.95 a month).
• $40 off a 12-month purchase (amounting to $17.61 a month).

These discounted rates prove that eH’s auto-renewal costs more money.

And lastly, ask for a deal

Lastly, you may also want to try asking for extensions or more discounts by calling eHarmony Customer Service. The last time we called (October 10), the so-called “in-house promotions” are:

• 3 months for $59.95 (amounting to $19.98 a month) (USD, CAD or AUD).
• 6 months for $119.85 (amounting to $19.98 a month) (USD, CAD or AUD).
• 12 months for $179.70 (amounting to $14.98 a month) (USD, CAD or AUD).
