eHarmony hires couples to answer surveys, but can gay couples apply?

Remember getting a $40 profile FREE when you complete a survey? This is better. Seen today in eHarmony Labs:

The Couple Communication Study

eHarmony Labs is looking for dating or married couples willing to participate in a study on partner communication. We hope to capture how couples interact with each other day to day and what effect that has on a relationship. This study is going on right now! If you are interested, please see the project parameters below:

In this study you and your romantic partner:
- Will complete a short (5 minute) online survey every night for one week.
- Attend a 45-50 minute laboratory session in our Pasadena, CA Lab directly after in where both you will fill out a series of questionnaires and get instructions for the second week.
- Complete in-person discussions at home with your romantic partner that following week.
- Complete a short (5 minute) online follow-up one month after.

Each couple that successfully completes this research study will receive $150 USD.

They don’t say heterosexual couples, do note. Can this, finally, be an initiative to gather data on gay relationships? eHarmony CEO Waldorf told the Washington Post on May last year, “Because [we] doesn’t have similar data on gay people, the company isn’t confident that [we] can offer successful matches to same-sex couples.”

Care to apply as a homosexual couple and, if they refuse to hire you, take them to court?

Please contact eHarmony to participate. Tell them we sent you!
