Please confirm. :)

Regarding your topic, see “Any profiling on ‘fasttrackers’ that might be useful?”.

Fri, 11 Apr 2008 13:31:00 +0000 http://eharmony-blog.com/717#comment-29204 OK Here is a mini poll type question… I have noticed that the women who prefer “Fast Track” are usually major players and total wackos. From my experience, I would say that 9 out of 10 are this way. Any other comments? Anyone else have the same experience?

You missed the point of what I was saying…YES, a woman, as well as a man, is entitled to meet as many as he/she desires to meet whatever criteria he/she has for a partner. My question is when does one reach the point of saying “OK he/she meets 9 of the 10 things I am looking for and is truly a great person..I will date him/her.” Serial daters NEVER reach that point because something is wrong with EVERYONE they meet and they are in constant search of the “perfect mate” or perfect person who does not exist. Do you know any perfect people without flaw?

on the other hand, I have a similar impression about men who use on-line dating sites. I think that most of them turn into serial daters for exactly the same reason – why settle before I meet several thousands of women, they think, I can still marry when I am 80 :-) ?

I have a few male friends who have been on match.com and eH for at least five years, and looks like they will be stuck there forever.

Regarding this:

Many are looking for: “the perfect mate on the first date” or they meet a really great guy with potential, but think that the other 25 guys wanting to meet might be better..and therefore never commit to anyone and become a serial dater.

I don’t have a problem with this. I think a woman is entitled meet 25 other men if she wants to make an informed decision about who to start dating. I have heard it said “A man should date 10 women before marrying, a woman 110 men.” Of course, nothing obligates the guy to wait around…

Regarding your online encounter with the woman who wanted sex upfront… yeah, I really hate it when that happens…

There’s no longer a “match limit” for inactive members. I went on a handful of “eH dates” during my paid time, and a few more since then as a result of the free weekends. Every woman I’ve met through eHarmony reinforces my conviction that women who join eHarmony are in love with the idea of “having a relationship” but are too terrified to actually do it, or to even consider it when a possibility arises. Some want email buddies, some just want to browse and click.

I sent an email to eHarmony to see what was going on and they changed my password. They don’t even read the messages i send them and no matter how good they may be at matching, I will no longer pay for a service with a customer service and troubleshooting systems than can not keep up with their customers! MY WARNINGS TO ANYONE CONSIDERING PAYING FOR A SUBSCRIPTION!

Thu, 20 Mar 2008 16:06:04 +0000 http://eharmony-blog.com/717#comment-28099 I find it interesting that the top answers to the polls all have to do with negative feelings regarding if your matches are ready for a relationship. I have found this to be very true. Many are looking for: “the perfect mate on the first date” or they meet a really great guy with potential, but think that the other 25 guys wanting to meet might be better..and therefore never commit to anyone and become a serial dater. One match, whom I met, offered sex before meeting because she has to “make sure I am going to be good in bed” The same woman was so eager to have kids and start a marriage that she wanted to know EVERYTHING upfront, EG: finances, good in bed part, DNA profile, etc… Needless to say..I ran…
