Tips and tricks: Unviewed matches are at the bottom of Recent Activity sort

eHarmony screenshot showing that unviewed matches are at the bottom of Recent Activity sortLook at the first page of your match list today, sorted by Recent Activity. Do you see any “Introduction” matches? (The “Introduction” stage means that neither you nor your match has viewed each other.) Why aren’t there any?

Unviewed matches are listed alphabetically at the end of Recent Activity sort.

  • If you never switch your view to another sort order, or click the “New” tab, then you will NEVER even notice these matches.
  • If you stick to the Who Has Viewed Me activity list or the Let your match view you first trick, then you will NEVER meet these people.
  • Most people view their matches sorted by “Recent Activity” and never change it. (At least, that’s what I think.)

Women who have a lot of activity, e.g., initiating and responding matches, will therefore never see you in her match list. You’re immediately on page 2, right after those lookers who never acted.

eHarmony never sends reminders to people to view untouched matches who were, say, matched to them 10 days ago.

What’s worse? If your first name begins with Z, guess what, you’re on the last page.

Not getting enough activity? Go to your “New” tab and start communicating with your matches. They could just be waiting for you to view them.

This has changed and “Recent Activity” refers to the user activity, not the person on the list.
    The current options are:
    - First name
    - Match delivery date (newest)
    - Match delivery date (oldest)
    - Recent activity
    - Comunication state

Note that “recent activity” seems to sort by … your recent activity, not the match’s . . . so it is identical to “Communication state”.
