From The Dallas Morning News, December 20, 2007:
Exactly 364 days since [Leah Range, 29, an assistant administrator, and David Michaels, 34, a shipping manager] traded their first tentative messages via eHarmony, an online matchmaking service, they are holding hands in the house they’re building in [Irving, Dallas]….
The relationship started cautiously. A few hours after she filled out her profile (“How do you feel about children? What kind of person are you looking for?”) Leah got 10 matches. Five to 10 more came the next day and every day after that. But, for one reason or another, she held back. Two weeks passed. Then, on a Friday, she got a response from somebody named David in Dallas.
He was good-looking. But, more important, she says, “I liked his statement that he was not just out to meet girls. He was out for a relationship.
“It was very touching.”
The wedding will be in May in Chicago.
