From IndyBanzai: Stretching and bending the term ‘flexible’

Christopher writes:

eHarmony has a feature called ‘flexible matching’ which gives you matches based on your original criteria, but easing up a bit on one or two parameters, like age range for example.

I think somethings broken, because even though I stated ‘30 miles’ as the farthest I’d consider for a match, I’ve gotten matches from southern California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Canada!

Sheesh!

I spoke to eHarmony about this, and they assured me this is normal. They told me that if I wanted to stick it to 30, I must move the “How important is your match’s distance from you?” slider to the farthest “Very Important”.

Anything less makes you fair game.

I didn’t ask if this advice also pertained to the other flexible matching settings.
