Waldorf becomes permanent eHarmony CEO

PASADENA, Calif., Nov. 8 /PRNewswire/ — eHarmony … today announced that Gregory Waldorf has accepted a permanent appointment as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Board of Directors. Waldorf, a long time board member has been serving as Chief Executive Officer since March of this year.

The founding investor in eHarmony, Waldorf has been intimately involved with the company since its inception in 2000 contributing to many areas of the company’s development and growth. Under Waldorf’s leadership as CEO this year, eHarmony set new performance records in all key financial metrics and membership levels.

Update: Unfortunately for eHarmony, though he is the CEO, he doesn’t know a thing about what eHarmony’s key financial metrics are!

    Actually, I think there is paid staff responsible for the “aggrandizing” (see Lou Casale, VP of PR, for example). So, I think you mean “pointless aggrandizing” or “empty aggrandizing.”
