Following its CEO jumping ship, three Vice Presidents leave eHarmony

Jim Lambert (LinkedIn bio) ended his 48-month stint in eHarmony this month as its Vice President for Human Resources.

Mark Zamuner left eHarmony last month as its Vice President for Acquisition Marketing. Zamuner joined last November coming from Ocean Media, Inc., one of eHarmony’s media partners.

Scott Eagle left last February as Vice President for Marketing. Grant Hosford (linkedin bio), Senior Director, now heads EH marketing. Eagle’s resignation closely followed the resignation of Greg Waldorf as eHarmony CEO last January.

eHarmony’s Management webpage yesterday announced that Cary Berger, eHarmony chief legal counsel, now also leads eHarmony corporate communications. Yeah, this means the media and the public gotta talk to eHarmony’s lawyer if they have any inquiries.

The company is yet to announce any replacements or post any job openings for these three executive positions. For reference, in 2010, Bob Holden (VP-Singles), Stan Holt (VP-Publishing) left eHarmony, while Karen Barker (VP-Customer Care) and Zamuner joined the company.

eHarmony certainly made a lot of changes in the last year. It is clear their board bet on the wrong management team. It will be interesting to see if firing their CEO and the marketing team will help in 2012. It was obvious to many that Mark Zamuner and Scott Eagle added little value and their marketing bets were a bust. They too were fired….now it is time to see who they bring in to right the ship. Here is to hoping for a brighter 2012 at eharmony and maybe even an IPO someday!

Mark Zamuner was very ineffective at eHarmony and the company has thrived since his departure. People did not enjoy working with him or dealing with his ego. Fortunately, that was eventually obvious to senior management and he was fired.
