How to clear Nudges, the Comeback

Way back in the day of the “hold ” feature, you could nudge a match again.  They got rid of “hold”, changed things around on us and this trick went away.

However, it looks like I have found a way to send a second nudge with the recent changes of the archived tab.  I haven’t seen anyone else mention this (I stumbled upon it while clearing out matches from last year in my communicating tab).

Here is what you do:

  1. Close the match (that you have communicated with, have nudged and who has not yet closed you)
  2. Immediately reopen the match from the closed tab
  3. It appears as if you can then nudge them again (it is of course, highly unlikely that they will respond if they are that “dead”)

This is just an FYI and not really a useful tip:

  1. I don’t think it’s worth wasting your time on.  Statistically, I have never seen anyone message me after two FCWs.  If they don’t communicate after the first nudge, they probably never will (don’t let your communicating tab get this far backlogged like I have).  Just close them out.  It is their loss.
  2. I can’t verify that it actually will send a nudge but it seems like it should, since the function is enabled in the user interface
  3. eHarmony may eventually take note of this and modify the site to prevent this…

If you try this and it works for you, submit a comment so we know it is not just my “old school” account from several years ago that is capable of this…

I can confirm that this works in recent accounts.

I must mention however that non-subscribers cannot reopen matches, even during free weekends.
