According to eHarmony, the Archived tab was designed to help us “get organized”, “focus on your best matches” and “better manage your matches”.
It’s also the first time eHarmony has a subtab beneath a subtab, in this case “Archived Matches” and “Closed Matches”

This feature suggests another useful segregation. Under the Communicating tab separate the “Communication received” and “Waiting for his response”.

- All our matches that need an answer or an action from us are in one spot, without distractions. So if the “Communication received” tab is empty, it means we’re done. We have no job pending.
- All our matches whose turn it is to reply or that are taking their time to reply or don’t reply back or go poof or fall off the face of the earth are in one spot. Since the subtab is hidden two levels deep, we don’t see them every time and we’re least likely to be bothered by them. Effect: Less closures for non-communication.
- Highlighting Nudge-able matches in the “Waiting for his response” tab is also a good idea. After all, that’s the only sensible reason why one needs to look inside this tab.
It’s like email, separating the Inbox and the Sent Messages. Nobody goes about reviewing their sent messages and their incoming messages together in one folder in their email. It’s just counter-productive.
