eHarmony and their BS marketing offer, this Free Communication Weekend

I am sure like a lot of people, I spent an hour wasting my time filling out the required profile information. After all, the only reason I even thought of giving this a go is because it was free to try in the current promotion. I almost gave up with frustration, but decided to see what eHarmony had to offer. Needless to say, I was really disappointed to find that I am not able to view my matches pictures and only see a condensed version of their profiles.

eHarmony wasted a hour of my time and I will never join their site. Perhaps if it took two minutes to build a basic profile, I might think different.

BAD MARKETING IDEA!

You are right about no photos on free weekend, but I’m pretty sure the profile information is the same as a paid subscriber. (I did subscribe for a while although I don’t currently.)

The bare profiles you saw are of “took the test and never returned” members (like you). I hate free communication weekends too. http://eharmony-blog.com/1815

EH is the only site that never shows photos to non-subscribers; they probably believe it’s a selling point.

When EH becomes desperate enough on the US site, they’ll change their tune: see http://eharmony-blog.com/1876 . But changes won’t come while people keep buying subscriptions.

I support 1 or 2 other comments. EHAR used to allow PICs in the old days. I don’t think they made folks happy this last “free” weekend w/out pics.
Say! Could this become an “Alternative” Eharmony site.??

eH didn’t have any pictures when it was first built. It was all about personality matching and getting to know someone on the inside…
