My first reaction was all warm and fuzzy for all the successful couples. I kept having to click “earlier entries” seeing how quickly the posts were coming in.
My second reaction was the usual “what is wrong with me” and why haven’t I had even a microscopic fragment of success that any one of those people have had on there.
My third reaction was that if all of these folks have “made it” and after all this time I haven’t, it is time to cut my losses and forget eHarmony ever existed. It’s just not going to work for me. I’m still mulling this one over…
My final reaction is that there is something rotten in Pasadena, CA. The feeling of the usual eHarmony smoke, mirrors and fraud. Call me a cynic but I just knew that something was not quite right about all these folks and their outpouring of success stories.
…and then there was validation of my sixth sense.
That page is a CONTEST. As far as I am concerned, they are all effectively paid spokespeople. Do you think that they would all be jumping in joy to express how pleased they are without SOME incentive?

Holy Toledo. Looking through some of the stories, one woman who posted was on eHarmony for NINE YEARS before meeting her husband. NINE YEARS. That makes my three years look pathetic. In contrast, there are stories of folks that start the service and have found their spouse in ONE MONTH.
Who here thinks that in the interest of fairness, eHarmony should let those of us who have NOT found love on eHarmony post elsewhere and see if the good outweighs the bad?
