Feature request: Australia Toll Free number

Australians have it tough.

Since eHarmony Australia began in December 2007, Australians have had to dial overseas to speak to eHarmony Customer Care. Calling the United States from Australia costs $0.10 to $0.14 AUD per minute.

Meanwhile, a $59.95 AUD membership costs $84 USD, based on the average exchange rate in the last twelve months. A one-year membership costs Australians $95 USD more than what Americans pay. What they pay more for, I don’t know.

eHarmony needs to set up an Australian toll free number. They deserve it.

Jane, 18009512023 is a US toll-free number. As mentioned in the article, eHarmony Australia doesn’t have a local phone number at all.

It’s been this way for two years and two months, so don’t hold your breath.

I signed up with eharmony and I have received some matches. They have matched me with men who are not people I could be serious about. I believe that there are many, many more women than men on this site so if you are a single woman WATCH OUT! You will be matched with inappropriate men and you will receive very, very few responses. I have received contact from 3 men in 3 months and 2 of them I had to contact first! Most of the men are not professionals and are much older than me. I do not want to date a 6o year old who lives in Altona or Patterson Lakes!
The few men I have been in contact with have indicated to me that they receive many, many matches every day! Too many for them to respond to! I have contacted nearly all the matches I have been given and have received pretty much zip! When I pointed this out to the eharmony staff after eventually finding the appropriate button to send an email, they suggested that I “relax my match settings”! The implication is that I am too fussy, am not viable in the dating game and should settle for one of the 5 ft 3 inch customer service workers and mechanics they keep matching me with. I am an academic with a PhD – in what way would I have anything at all in common with people like this?
I guess if I was male I would be having a great time – unless I was gay of course! I got fed up and put my profile on RSVP and immeadiately was inundated with emails! So single women there is an alternative and no, I don’t work for RSVP.
Good luck to all of you singles out there. I wish you every success and if you are sincere then I am sure you will find the person for you – just not through Eharmony – not if you are female.

I spent about an hour filling out my registration(like most others, I guess) then at the end I got a message to say I couldn’t be matched because I wasn’t single!!!I tried unsuccessfully for about an hour to find somewhere I couls alter this information if I had made a “typo” but to no avail and can find no email address to ask for this to be corrected!

I do not have credit cards, so I set up paypal & that’s working fine. I have been told that it is because I don’t have a land line. I was then given some work around – but they didn’t work either

This is really pretty poor Mr eHarmony when you wont even take guys money
