eHarmony terminates members for any reason or no reason

I have been a member for around 3 months since April 15, 2009. I have Rely ID and my credit paid for my services. After 3 months EHarmony decided to close my account. I got the message today. It was very vague and did not tell me why. The language they used about violation of user terms, lying about age, marriage so forth which I haven’t done. I think the reason they are doing this is because they have not been able to find a lot of matches for me unless they go out of state. They have mishandled some of my matches and have matched me up with guys I felt I had little in common and some of them seem shallow. I relate some of these concerns and they would reassure that they would be able to find someone for me. But, all a sudden out of the blue they have closed out my account. If I do not get a reason and they reinstate me I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In the almost three months I was there there were only two I got to open communication with. One of them they closed him out without my consent because I express concerns about him and later re-open when I requested it. By that time he had lost interest. It was a mistake for me to do, their Risk Management Team did that. I could go on. I thought though that they were an upscale ethical service. But, I am beginning to think that they do not have the edge on ethics. Again, I am not sure why they closed me out. Maybe it is because I am in my sixties and I am in a smaller city and they think they will not be able to find anyone for me. But, I am really upset with them. I think I should be able to stay until my contract is over.

I have gotten two invitation from Match.Com and Christian Mingles and I believe there is another one call Our time. There is also Koosk. I get messages from them on Facebook. I am not recommending any of these but there are other date sites. In addition, OK Cupid is free except for certain features. A lot of date sites try to get older customers. If I do get on another sites it will one( hands off) that does not try to micro-manage my search.

      Happy New Year.

I keep getting invitations to subscribe again to eHarmony. I got on there briefly and close myself out. I decided that I did not want to engage in cloak and dagger activities. I do not know how or if I will meet anyone but I do not think eHarmony is the answer for me. For those who fail their so called personality test. I didn’t. Just go down the middle if you are not sure. I am reitred and busy and still write poetry and work at the polls, go to church and democratic meetings. etc. Anyway, I find it really strange that they keep sending invitations I get them again and again. Of course it is their marketing divison probably contracted out who does that. If I get back into one of these date sites it will probably be Zoosk, or Match. or Ourtime. I simply do not want to right now. I think eHarmony is like a cult or some mysterious group that exists only for a few. I think that those who are successful probably less than 5% probably would succed anyway in their own environment if they made the time or effort. I really think the best way to to meet people is in person. However, I do not rule out dating sites altogether just dis-Harmony. I just think that if someone is still looking after 7 years and spending a fortune on that and other date sites they need to get a different focus. But, that is just me. Good luck.

I got another invitation to an undisclosed recipient. I really have no interested in posting on this blog since I do believe it is for the most part pro eHarmony. However, I would like to know if anyone has gotten back on after being kicked off and what happened. I am just curious. I did but couldn’t go the distance with that. For those who flunk their personality profile try it again and go down the middle if you do not know how to answer the questions.

Another invitation with my name and right email address. They are shameless. They should have the integrity to at least be consistent. If anyone has the nerve to try again I would like to know. Use a pseudonym and go for it and let me know. I would just like to know how if that happens. And btw again for those flunking their so called personality profile. Go down the middle. Again let me know if they bump you and you get back in.

Got an invitation with the right email and so forth. This shows again their risk management company has not ideal what their marketing division is doing. There are shameless. If anyone tries to get back on use a pseudo name and post on this page.

I do not know what pay day loans has to do with terminating members. The fact that is I am a law abiding citizen, I didn’t not lied about anything and I was paying customer who got rely id. The only reason eHarmony could have let me go was because they didn’t like me. I probably called to much. Something they deny. But, again I was a paying customer. If eHarmony can terminate paying customers they must really be raking it in. However, there is a lot of competition out there. And they may not be doing as well as they like. That is not my problem. I tend to feel that meeting anyone on these date sites is problematic. and at most probably around 5% are successful. That is all iI have toysay..

I might add also that I posted because I thought that eHarmony’s customers might like to know what kind of I company eHarmony is. After all said I don’t think they give a d____. They are gong to put their money the same as some pay for the lottery every month. Fantasies sell. I will say finally that most dating sites have the same terms and condition. They can bump someone for whatever reasons they want. I think though that the less involved a date siteis in a customers date search. The less likely they will terminate a customer. So. you could be paying seven + years to be on eHarmony or any other date site with nothing to show but debsts in your bank account. . And so it goes or doesn’t.

I have finally subscribed to Zoosk. I am also looking into Christian Mingles. I really did not want to do because I am not an not over religious (evangelical). I am more progressive. However, they advertise saying that they have Methodist single men on their site. I am a United Methodist so we will see. I may try other date sites but never e_Harmony again. Later

The latests on eHarmony now is they are trying to get into the employment field and help job seekers find employment. I hope they are more compassionate with job seekers than they are with their dating customers. I read this on TWFC web site. Give us a break. I guess eHarmony’s market share is going down to much competition from date sites like Christian Mingle. And so it goes or doesn’t.
