Aug 28-31: eHarmony’s Eighteenth Free Communication Weekend

It’s upcoming once again, the Labor Day 2009 eHarmony Free Communication Weekend. The last one was July 2-5, 8 weeks before this one. Essence, eHarmony UK online marketing manager announced the UK FCW to the UK affiliates today. Based on all past FCWs, UK and Australia FCWs run alongside the US one, probably to save on effort on their part.

eHarmony may run this on eHarmony Canada also, probably.

This could be the boost that current eHarmony subscribers need to get a response from their matches.

Paid members, get ready to nudge your matches on Friday and move them along communication until Monday. Free members, get ready to sneak in your email address and meet the love of your life free-of-charge.

Tip: FCW participants cannot initiate, accept or reject FastTrack, so don’t initiate FastTrack with them this weekend or communication would be stuck.

They need to get with the times and show photos if they want to convert subscribers. Nothing like going back and forth like mad with the one of many mediocre profiles (with no photo) only to be even further disappointed once you do get their photo. Way to make people feel like we want to subscribe after the FCW, especially with all those e-mails you send about “Our Free Communication Weekend generated an enormous response. And the communication is still flowing strong!” Reading that and thinking back to my results in general just makes me want to pull out my credit card and resubscribe…

Didn’t they do photos on a FCW in the UK? I find it hard to believe that they didn’t see improved turnover “with photos”?

Have to reconcile my spreadsheet to “do the numbers” for FCW 18.
