Compatible Partners really wants you to answer a survey

Sorry to bother you Mr. Thompson, but are you gay?

eHarmony sent a marketing research survey invitation to each of its Compatible Partners registrants on July 22, on July 24 and on July 27. Wow, they really want you to answer a survey, do they? Since it is so important, for the record and for discussion here are the survey questions, verbatim.

(What do you think of the survey? Do you think it will help them be any less clueless about gay relationships and dating as they are now? Post your feedback.)

Dear Brüno,

Can you take a few minutes to tell us what you think about Compatible Partners? User feedback is the #1 method we have of learning how to change and improve our service.

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,

Call me cynical but after seeing the CP traffic numbers (only 18K monthly visitors), the results of this survey is worthless. eHarmony must pump advertising dollars to promote the service first, then will they have a better representation of gay daters.

I think they basically took the same survey from eharmony.com and placed it on compatiblepartners.com without adding anything that specifically targets the LGBT community. Like, we always complain about fitting into labels (stud, fem, etc), but it didn’t even allow you to pick if you wanted to. So now “if” you only want to match with fems you have no way of knowing without directly asking or going to pictures. I’m waiting for a redo, or at least a free communication weekend before I put money into buying a membership and trying it out more!

Ghastly site. No customer service number to call if you’re just browsing, no clickable-link to see your completed ‘Profile’ (like they promise there will be), and no ticket-number for emails you send them (like they, again, promise you’ll get).

Not a good site for anyone I know to mix ‘n mingle!
