The two advantages of eHarmony over free dating sites (and they’re not what you think)

When trying to decide whether to join eHarmony, remember that there are exactly two things that eHarmony has and your free dating sites don’t.

1. Massive Television Advertising in North America

Only a small few dating sites have as much brand awareness and market reach as eHarmony, especially in the United States. You can assume that if someone in your small town suddenly decided to try online dating, one of the sites he or she will check out is eHarmony, and not X, Y and Z free dating site who rely mostly on word-of-mouth. Do you realize what this advantage has to do with you?

2. 24/7 Customer Support

The other thing is an inbound call center of trained representatives “here to help you find the love of your life.” So, use them. Call them about anything and everything in the service. These reps are available to give a second, third or fourth opinion or advice on improving your profile, changing your settings, communicating to matches, what to wear on a date, and so forth.

Remember these two things every time you use the service.

Unfortunately I think that calling these reps a lot is not a good ideal. I think you need to fly under the radar and they are less likely to bump you because they do not know you are around. This is a business do not think these reps are your friends. Call only about your billings or promotions. Or if you think someone is a scammer. But, again these reps are not your friends. They can and do close anyone out for “any reason or no reason.” JMO

I have found that calling them up generally works to your advantage, as LONG as you aren’t doing it all the time.

EH support is generally good, and unlike most tech companies, actually have their support here in the US, rather than over in India somewhere.

I believe there was one gal here posting a few months ago that called EH support all time, complaining about this, complaining about that, etc, etc.

I suspect that after a number of these calls, EH support probably gets sick of said person, and starts to provide worse service.
But I imagine that goes for pretty much any site or service.

I personally think that whatever advice they give you can be gotten somewhere else. There is advice on all date sites. Again, these reps are not your friends they don’t know you and I would rather rely on friends. I think the reps should be there just to answer billing questions and promotion anything else is misleading.

Read Dr, Warren’s message on safe dating. This message with some variation is the same message you can find on other date sites.
