Poll 29: eHarmony would like to get good, constructive feedback

Three weeks ago, eHarmony Advice’s Community Manager started a discussion to ask the community for suggestions to improve the Singles Matching service. Here are the top fifteen suggestions from it, minus the obvious two (A. Differentiate paying and non-paying members, and B. Show the date of last activity or login) — God knows it’ll take a lawsuit to make those changes!

Let’s find out what the wider audience thinks. Pick one or more of the choices.

"If you ran eHarmony, what changes would you want made to the Singles dating site?" (Pick one or more)

I would also suggest, and this is somewhat similar to “Indicate or list why you two are compatible” that when a match is a flexible match, that one could find out which if my preferences were not matched.

I have a big question to those who vote “Don’t match subscribers to non-subscribers”:

How do you propose the Free Communication Weekends be run?

I don’t know and frankly I don’t care. When you pay for a service you should get some sort of actual service. I’ve paid for 3 months block and a one month block recently but almost every single match I have doesn’t have any detailed filled out and therefore inclined to believe non-subscriber. That’s a huge chunk of change for them to pull of a guarantee of so many matches. I think they should put their butt on the line and step it up to 12 actual communications in 12 months.

I’ve had more luck on Plenty of Fish than eharmony. And one of those services I have given over a 100 dollars without meeting someone in person while the other I’ve meet lots of nice people in a short time and the cost is usually picking up a tab for diner, which I would have done anyway had eharmony been any use.
