How interesting … CompatiblePartners doesn’t reject registrants

Except when you choose “Married”, “Separated”, or be younger than 18, whatever your answers are — the site lets you in.

Yes, I had too much time in my hands today.

And oh by the way, CompatiblePartners ISN’T a segregated database. Its match IDs are above 1.5 billion and its member IDs are above 28 million. Sorry to those who are disappointed.

P.S. This means that a system bug can cause hets to receive gays and lesbians. How interesting.

  1. Did the settlement terms say much about them having to implement the exact same algorithm for CP? If not, I suppose they only have to ask the same questions for appearances and not necessarily apply the same matching algorithm “based on years of research” to CP registrants. In other words, CP could be more like Match.com and less like eHarmony.

  2. This article makes sense. Why should you reject apples based on the profiles of successful oranges!?
