Compatible Partners’s free 6-month membership offer ends June 15

Compatible Partners homepage

UPDATE: Compatible Partners promotional codes are available here, as CP.

Hitting 10,000 registrants in 2 1/2 months — Is that quick, particularly from a company that spends $150 million a year in advertising?

Compatible Partners will complete one of the provisions of its settlement with the New Jersey Attorney General this June 15:

d. Company shall provide a free membership for a term of one year to Complainant, and for a term of six months to the first 10,000 users registering for same-sex matching within one year of the initiation of the same-sex matching service provided by Company;

The last uncompleted provision is the one on http://www.eharmony.com/diversity:

e. Company shall include photos of same-sex couples in the “Diversity” section of the eHarmony-inc.com website as successful same-sex matches are made using the same-sex matching service provided by Company, and Company shall similarly include photos of same-sex couples and individual users of the same-sex matching service in Company’s advertising of the same-sex matching service;

Readers, want instant popularity? Find a friend, register in Compatible Partners together, “meet” and then contact eHarmony and be their success story. There’s no money in it for you, but you get to be in ads and commercials. Okay, no, this is a bad idea; don’t do this.

    The suggestion at the end of this blog post is reprehensible. In a world where it’s already hard enough for gay men and women to find another compatible person to love for a lifetime, your suggestion to ‘find a friend and get famous’ mocks this online process via deliberate fraud. Why not allow eHarmony the chance to feature a real gay/lesbian success story? If you think I’m being over-sensitive, then ask yourself if would you make the suggestion to heterosexual people to “fake a successful relationship” to get featured in an eHarmony ad?

    Feeling like an idiot. But it’s my own fault. I signed on to CP after my straight neighbour (female) started on eharmony and got tons of replies. We both gripe together about not being able to find someone special. eHarmony seemd so well meaning and legit. Little did I know it’s run by a homophobe right wing fundamentalist who has proabably no intention of matching any two men up. Hell I may be the only one signed onto the site. Ironic ain’t it. I broadened my search for the whole country.and up until now..nada niente…. rien. Am i that impossible to match up.Sorry for the violin strings, but that’s how i’m feeling now.well, that lesson cost me 60 bucks. People: as lonely and pathetic as you may feel,do your research.
