May 22-25: eHarmony’s Sixteenth Free Communication Weekend for the US

It’s here, the Memorial Day 2009 eHarmony Free Communication Weekend for the US. The last one was March 26-29, 7 weeks before this one.  I saw the announcement on FaceBook today and it seems to be validated by eHarmony_Kate’s announcement.

Paid members, get ready to nudge your matches on Friday and move them along communication until Monday. Free members, get ready to sneak in your email address and meet the love of your life free-of-charge.

Tip: FCW participants cannot initiate, accept or reject FastTrack, so don’t initiate FastTrack with them this weekend or communication would be stuck.

Nudging ~75 matches is a lot of work. :(

I have a few matches communicating but they aren’t checking their accounts enough that I don’t think very many will get to OC by the end of the weekend.

Having the same problem, Singleguy. Friday started out strong and everything is coming to a standstill.

I guess there is still tomorrow, but, geez! You’d think more people would take advantage of this weekend.

What is strange are the profile views that do not communicate and do not close. I have to wonder what goes through their mind that they can’t click on 5 multiple choice questions or the close button and make a decision.

I really am starting to think that there is some other mythical place or way of meeting people that these folks find to be better. I would like to know where/what it is, so I can go there since it seems like all of the ones I’m interested in must be there.

Why can’t I seem to find the “Nudge” function now that it is Free Communication Weekend? It has always been there before, but now I can’t find it. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks

Great… get ready for another big group of members who will never pay, thus never communicate or probably even check the site once the weekend is up. eHarmony will unshamefully send their profiles to millions of others as ‘matches’ and countless people will send emails that will never be read much less replied to, and frustration will continue to grow… Meanwhile, eharmony sells advertising based on this huge group of cardboard profiles. Who still thinks this is a great idea??

I’m guilty of being one of those “non-payers” over the Christmas holiday 2010 free communication event. I was a paying member prior & am trying out another site right now. I like the free communication weekends, but you still see no pics & email is still blocked. But keeping the “matches on” still sends matches to me afterwards. If I get enough communication requests, I may go ahead & pay to see all the pics & communicate when I want.
