Tips and tricks: Exactly what does it mean when even EHarmony says you are “unmatchable”?

It means that, based on how you answered the questionnaire, eHarmony doesn’t believe it can send you matches with whom eHarmony is confident you would be mutually compatible.

Remember it’s a computer that does the matching and eHarmony readily admits that there would be personalities that their software doesn’t know how to work on.

Dr. Gian Gonzaga, senior research scientist of eHarmony, in a live television interview last 3 February, said,

It’s not a bad thing at all, and as a matter of fact, I think it’s a very good thing that there are people who see the world in very complex ways. But it makes it very difficult for us, because we base our system on you being similar to your partner that’s the theory that we go by. So if you think you are extroverted and sociable in one day and shy and introverted on the next day, we don’t really know what to do; do we match you with the extroverted people or do we match you with introverted people? So it makes it really hard on us, and we just don’t want to be able to provide service to someone, we don’t want to sell them a product, that we can’t give them the matches that we think they deserve.
