eHarmony and Yahoo!7 announce partnership in Australia

In a press release yesterday, eHarmony announces its partnership with Yahoo!7 — basically appointing Yahoo!7 as its advertising affiliate.

Yahoo!7 is a partnership and rebranding between the Seven Network, an Australian television network, and Yahoo!. With this partnership with eHarmony, the rebranding of the rebranding of Yahoo! Personals in Australia now resembles “Bienvenue / Welcome” Canadian government websites:

Do you take door #1 or door #2? Isn’t the dichotomy ridiculous?

Registrants who join through Yahoo!7 Dating will permanently have a Yahoo!7 banner atop their eHarmony pages. This is identical to the branding for registrants from Comcast Dating (October 2007) and AOL Personals (announced September 2008).

Financial terms weren’t disclosed, because, come to think of it, nobody cares.
