I’ll keep this one short and sweet.
They already have the code where when you rollover a picture in the Who Has Viewed Me tab which shows you the match’s main picture thumbnail in a little pop-up. Why can’t we get this for the actual match list? Instead of having to wait and load the entire profile page and pull a bunch of stuff from the database to see who the match is (even with a reduced total of 50-75 active matches, I can still forget who is who), they could go with the lightweight Web 2.0/AJAX method and save on computer processing time and network bandwidth.
(Having said this, I have seen that section of code be buggy and retrieve the wrong picture for a given match, so I’m not so sure this is such a great idea)
We should be getting kickbacks/free months for these ideas that save them money or truly improve thet site and overall serve to retain membership but I think most would settle for them investing some programmer time in continuing to improve the site…unless…all their programmers are hard at work on eHarmony 2.0 and we just don’t know it…
I have to wonder. It has been a while since we’ve seen any new features…
(I’m aware of the FireFox script but last I looked at it, the way it did the picture retrieval, it forced a “view” of all of the matches it loads and I believe that just using the rollover doesn’t indicate a view of their profile to the match you are looking at, but I could be mistaken…kind of hard to figure that one out unless two inactive and already eHarmonious matches who are still subscribers can do this experiment for us…)
