Infidelity on E Harmony

Just as an FYI.  I recently discovered that my brother is on e-harmony.  The problem with that is that he is married!  His wife was shocked, as she thought that they were really happy.  We all did.  He told me that he was just looking for an ego boost and to get laid.  Ladies, be careful, people are not always who they calim to be.  He pre paid 3 months in advance and E Harmony will not delete his profile.  That is because it is prepaid.  Be aware. P.S. He claims to be a doctor!!!!!  That is pretty funny.

Andrea, I think there is a “close account” link somewhere in the Settings page. Is it there? I’m not sure if it will erase his records permanently from the system though.

I joined eharmony in Dec 2008. I had been checking out the site for a while before that, but was not able to see any photos, and got sketchy info on the members, this I believe is to frustrate you into joining, which I did and signed up for one month (special offer). The matches were way off and slow in coming as the month was coming to a close I decided to leave eharmony, clicked on for the last time and there was my “perfect match”.Well how could I leave now? there he was!! I sent him a communication Feb 7 (I hate those stupid questions) as I did not hear back in what I considered a timely manner, I decided to check out my competition and posed as a male, my inbox was flooded with “matches” any man would have quite a time going through eharmony’s guided communication. I then made up a phoney female matching it exactly to my legitimate one expecting to hear from the match I had tried communicating with, he never showed up anywhere in the phoney one.
So much for eharmony and their ‘matching”
Thank you so much for posting the info on auto -renew, good to know and it will be bye bye eharmony.
I guess I will have to leave it all in the lap of the gods. Good luck out there. Margaret

my perfect match was sent to me and I couldn’t believe my eyes. There he was – the guy I’m trying to get rid of. His phoney baloney profile all about himself was so far away from the truth that I almost wet my pants laughing. There must be some way of warning others that this guy is a lazy fat lying slob – but of course, you won’t find that out until after you have moved in with him – and that’s after living with him part time for 3 years.

Is eHarmony a market research company ? as I have just spent the last hour filling out what was an extremely detailed form giving the most intimate personal details, they make luring promises to match your profile for free. In my case they declined to find me a match. I just wonder how many thousands of others this as happened to, and even more worring is this information being sold on to others, for instance Harris Interactive to whom I have discovered is a market research company to whom they are associated with ?
I am a Legal Consultant by profession so I am naturally suspicious, and I am keeping an eye open for unauthorised emails, sales and spam which may be a resultant factor. It would be interesting to have your comments as I am sure I am not on my own basing m concerns. Nothing is done for nothing these days and it remains what their motives are, what do you think ?
