A Month of Matches

What else is there to do when most of your matches don’t respond and you are bored?

Some data collection, just for fun!

This is the number of matches delivered to me each day for one month.

Please note that this is NOT a good sample, statistically speaking:

  1. Matching had been turned off for several weeks since my subscription elapsed, so I definitely got more matches the first few days
  2. FCW right at the beginning of the data set would tend to more matches, too
  3. Zero matches three days in a row because I turned matching off after the FCW was over and before I resubscribed

I will have to think some more about what other variables would be interesting to track and how difficult (time consuming) it would be to do so for them.  This one is pretty easy since I only tend to get matches in the morning, so I just insert the number of new match e-mails into a spreadsheet.

I have some ideas of additional ways to analyze the data for the next month’s data.  If you have suggestions on what might be interesting to see, leave a comment.
