eHarmony Blog.comDo the matches you’ve closed have a “Re-Open” option? I heard from someone in eHA that the majority of his matches have a reopen button. I’ve never seen any in mine, and I doubt he receives that many Final Messages.
Anyone here able to reopen matches they have closed out?
The only time I’ve seen that as an option are for the ones that send a final message. Seems like if they made a change, it would be an all or none proposition and none of my closed matches show “Re-Open” as an option where I’ve seen it for the ones that have sent a final message. The only way I know of is to e-mail CS and ask them to open the match back up.
While I did close a match, I was thinking about giving him one final chance to explain a third date stand up…but the match is closed and according to E/H “once the match has been closed by both sides” you are unable to reopen.
What does that mean exactly? When someone closes a match with me I can either send a Final Message or just hit “cancel”, in which case it looks like the status hasn’t changed at all.
So does that mean my erstwhile match has actually “closed” it on his side as well or simply has done nothing? I really don’t want to phone him, but if it’s that or nothing I just may! Thanks!
A closes match, B sends final message -> A can re-open
A closes match, B does nothing -> A can re-open (but would most likely require assistance from customer support)
A closes match, B closes match -> no re-opening
Maybe I am naive but I just don’t understand how or why someone can stand someone up on a date.

Matches closed before you get to see them is quite normal.
It means the match was sent to you and him simultaneously via email and he got to read your profile and he decided he is not interested, all before you do anything.
Clearly, you do exactly the same to the men you close right away; the match is closed before they get to review you.
I would like to reopen if you want.
