“Review your matches free” means that’s exactly what eHarmony members do

Review your matches free

Ron hit the nail right on the head when he said this yesterday. Do you notice that half of your matches don’t view and four-fifths of your matches don’t reply?

eHarmony’s slogan is backfiring at its customers.

eHarmony has allowed the pool to fill with people who aren’t even looking for serious relationships. All its registrants ever intend to do is “review your matches free.” The ad even asks, “Aren’t you curious whom you’ll be matched with?”

FREE to Review your MatchesThousands of people “reviewing their matches free” — that is definitely gonna hurt eHarmony’s pockets.

The company should seriously re-examine its selling point “Meet quality singles sincere about finding a meaningful relationship.” …

(How about replacing it with “Meet quality singles who are reviewing matches free”, huh?)

… or change its slogan before it’s too late.

eHarmony’s business model will obviously kill itself. The more successful it is, the faster it runs out of customers. The more UNsuccessful it is, the faster it runs out of customers, too!

“Customer turnover” is 3-4 months, as they said, so they burn through — I don’t know how many — millions of people a year.

So, I think they have already oversaturated the “serious relationship” market in the USA. They can’t redefine their product’s relationship goal (or at least can’t admit to doing so), so they are working hard to get anyone with a pulse to sign up. Maybe not yet ‘anyone’, but they will have to, eventually.
